Explore the healing capacity of Twelve Step Spirituality as Fr. Richard Rohr reviews his new book, Breathing Under Water. Fr. Richard says that “addiction” is a modern word for “sin.” “We are all addicted to our own way of thinking,” he says, “and the twelve steps have much to offer us all.” Almost all of us have been affected, directly or indirectly, by the pain of addiction.; yet, there still remains a great deal of mystery around the healing power and deep spiritual significance of the twelve steps.
Join Fr. Richard Rohr and special guest, John McAndrew, in Dana Point, CA for an insightful study of Twelve Step Spirituality. Fr. Richard approaches the topic from a Franciscan point of view; John McAndrew brings the experience of living and working in active recovery. The workshop includes talks by the presenters, group sharing, music, and time for personal reflection and/or journaling. Whether you live and breathe a life of recovery, you struggle with addiction and addictive relationships, or you are an open spiritual seeker, this full day event will be a sacred space for you, your friends, and your loved ones. This workshop would also be beneficial for counselors, social workers, and those who serve in ministries to the homeless. Limited space is available.
